Limbs for Life's Mission to Haiti
Helping Haiti One Step at a Time
The devastating earthquake that struck Haiti earlier this month has impacted countless lives in the small island nation. The BBC reports as many as 200,000 people will lose a limb as a result of the disaster.
Limbs for Life is committed to helping the people of Haiti. That's why we're working with the entire prosthetic community, including the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics, to bring much-needed prosthetic limbs to the country. ISPO is organizing the prosthetic efforts in Haiti to ensure that we are able to assist those in need without harming local businesses.
We will cooperate with ISPO to make sure that our effort is efficient and effective while being in the best interests of everyone in Haiti. We look forward to having a positive impact on the Haitian amputees while following ISPO's code of conduct for humanitarian organizations. We consider it a privilege to be involved in this effort.
We have the components. We have the manpower. What we need is funding. Who we need is you.
By donating to Limbs for Life's Haitian relief effort you're having a direct impact on someone's life. We're not asking money for research, we're asking for money to literally put someone back on their feet. Every dollar affects a victim of this disaster in a positive way.
The people we help in Haiti will be the same people who help rebuild the country. We've seen it in the amputees we've helped in the United States and around the world in places like the Dominican. If we help the amputees of Haiti by giving them the prosthetic care they need, they can in turn have an impact on their country.
Please help us give the amputees of Haiti a second lease on life. Click here for more information or donate by clicking the button below.
