Programs

Our heart at Limbs for Life is to see lives changed and restored. There are many pieces that must come together in order to reach the hundreds of amputees we help each year. Therefore we have developed 4 programs to meet the needs of our mission. Each program is designed to help as many people as possible, whether that’s by raising funds or simply raising awareness. Without each program, our organization would be incomplete.

Please read over our programs listed below and see how you can get involved!

Prosthesis Fund

Money raised through fundraisers, benefits, and charitable donations is used directly to benefit the life of an amputee. Each qualified applicant is partnered with a certified prosthetist who fits them for a brand-new prosthesis and provides essential follow-up care. Individuals interested in applying can find out more here.

World Limb Bank

The limb bank collects used limbs and distributes them, free of charge, to amputees in developing countries. There are millions of needy men, women, and children who have been ravaged by war and disease. A used limb would be a miracle! With the assistance of several non-profit organizations, we are able to distribute prosthetic components to cooperative charities working in Turkey, Mexico, and Africa. Network of Contacts

We provide a network of prosthetists, therapists, and emotional support contacts. Prosthetists partner with the foundation by offering their services, while qualified physical and occupational therapists provide cost-free follow-up calls to those who receive prosthetic awards. Emotional support contacts empathize with the amputees and counsel them on challenges of limb loss. Prosthetists, physical and occupational therapists interested in becoming a part of the Limbs for Life online network, can click on "Register" at the top right of the page to create a user account, and choose, "I would like to have my practice to be on the map." Your contact information will then be available on the map for amputees to locate your services. To see the map, click here.
