An above-knee prosthetic leg consists of many parts: a socket that fits the residual limb, a knee, a titanium pylon for the lower leg, and a foot. This is the whole package! With a new prosthetic limb, an above-knee amputee can get up out of their wheel chair or off of their crutches and return to a normal, productive lifestyle!
- Liner

A silicone liner acts us a protective layer on the residual limb of an amputee. Locking liners have a pin on the end that locks into the prosthesis, providing a way to keep the leg on.

With hundreds of different types of feet available, an amputee is able to match his prosthetic foot to his lifestyle. There are feet available for amputees who want to wear boots, high heels, and flip flops. There are also feet designed for highly active people, like firefighters, as well as waterproof feet for those who work around water.

If you would like a creative way to donate to our Foundation, you can either buy an item we have up for auction on eBay, or sell an item of your own on eBay and donate a portion of the proceeds to our Foundation. All of this is made possible through MissionFish, an organization that has an exclusive relationship with eBay which allows certified charities to auction off items for their own benefit, as well as receive proceeds from other sellers. Prosthetic Donations
Be sure to attach a note to the prosthetics you donate with your name & address and a detailed description of your donation. A letter of appreciation will be mailed to you, which can be used for tax purposes.
Thanks to the World Limb Bank, we are able to collect used limbs and distribute them, free of charge, to amputees in developing countries. Components from donated limbs are utilized to create new prosthetics, thus reducing costs for the prosthetist.
